Do you install backup generators for power outages?
Yes. Rural feeders in the Valley drop out in storms, so we install automatic changeover backup generators for homes, farms and businesses — the same Kohler systems we fitted at Haig Nursery in Monbulk. They start themselves when the grid fails and switch back automatically when it returns.
Can you install an EV charger on a rural or acreage property?
Yes. We install Level 2 hardwired EV chargers across the Valley, starting with a switchboard capacity check. For long driveways, limited-capacity homes or off-grid/solar setups, we install smart chargers with solar integration and load-sharing.
My older Yarra Valley home has a ceramic fuse box — does it need replacing?
Almost certainly. Ceramic fuse boxes are common in the Valley's older housing and don't meet current Victorian safety standards — no RCD protection, can't handle modern loads, and a genuine fire risk in a bushfire-prone area. We replace them with fully compliant modern switchboards.
